William Paul Sowder

William Paul Sowder, 82, of Lexington, formerly of Lancaster, passed away Monday, July 5, 2021 at Baptist Health in Lexington, KY. He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Caldwell Sowder of Lexington.

Paul was born on September 6, 1938 in Garrard County to the late Hurbert and Clyda Wooten Sowder.

Paul was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He was Operations Manager at Cowden Manufacturing in Lexington for over 20 years. Paul enjoyed and loved showing his Tennessee Walking Horses.

Also surviving is a daughter, Paula Denton (Russell) of Lexington, a sister, Geneva Bandy, and his faithful dog Dixie.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth Sowder and a sister, Mary Jean Sowder.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Spurlin Funeral Home chapel in Lancaster with Pastor Matthew Cooke officiating.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time.

Burial will follow at Lancaster Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Russell Denton, David Sowder, and Mike
Wade.
