William Kendall Dismeaux Obituary

William Kendall Dismeaux, 61, passed away Friday, October 10, 2025 at Ft. Logan Hospital in Stanford, KY. Kendall was born on March 19, 1964 in Garrard County, KY to Donna Marie Taylor and the late William Marvin Dismeaux.


In the early years of his life he worked in the family owned business, Dismeaux Slaughter House. He later worked for Berry Plastics in Danville, KY for many years.


Kendall was ordained as a minister in his early years of preaching at Centennial Baptist Church in Harrodsburg, KY under the late Reverend John Short III.


Kendall loved to fish whenever he had the chance. He was an avid Kentucky Men’s and Women’s Basketball fan. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Football and Yankees baseball fan as well.


Kendall was brought up well by his mother and father. He was caring and had a wonderful kind heart. He always put God first and took care of his family.


The most important aspect of Kendall’s life was his relationship with Jesus. He stood firm on the word of God. He wanted everyone he came in contact with to know about Jesus. Kendall spent his last few years preaching every other weekend at Triumphant Voice Ministries in Moreland with Pastor Bruce Williams. 


He is survived by his loving wife, Gail Dismeaux of Danville; His Mother, Donna Marie Taylor and step-father, John Taylor of Stanford; two sisters, Marvette Crawford of Lexington, Loutesia Dismeaux of Danville and step-sister, Lashonda Peyton of Louisville; two step-daughters, Tiffany Jones (Justin) of Lancaster and Hillary Galloway (Michael) of Bowling Green; Mother in law, Sonja Helton of Lancaster; four step-grandsons, Carson Jones, Carter Jones, Maddox Jones, and Rowan Galloway; a first cousin who was like a brother, Cedric Leavell of Danville; two aunts, Nina Ison of Stanford and Mary Leavell of Lancaster; and a host of nephews and nieces.


Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Spurlin Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Smith, Pastor Donald Wayne Smith, and Pastor Bruce Williams officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 AM until service time.


Even in death, Kendall had a servants heart as he donated to the Network for Hope.
