Will Honey Obituary

Charlie “Will” Honey, 67, of Lancaster, passed away March 16, 2025 in Stanford, Kentucky. He was born on January 27, 1958 in Garrard County to the late Ira Honey and Emma Elizabeth Webb Honey. 


Will was a farmer and enjoyed working in tobacco. He loved the Lord and his church immensely. Will enjoyed talking to everyone he met and loved his family. He will be missed by so many. 


He is survived by his siblings, Rosetta Honey Tuggle of Lancaster, Barbara Ann Honey Cowan of Nicholasville, Ira Honey, Jr. of Wayne County, Elizabeth Honey of Indiana, Roma Marie Honey of Paris, Cindy Honey of Wayne County, and Vicki Honey Jones of Indiana; numerous nieces, Charlee Potter, Shanna Gibson, Samantha Tuggle, Bobbie Jean Hendrickson, Nancy Young, Stella Young, Amber Ray, Hanna Stout, Kaitlyn Young, Emma Coleman O’Bryan, Jasmine Hendrickson, Tonisha Hendrickson, Chantel Branham, Sabrina Young, Madison Hendrickson, Tori Dawn Sullivan, Chloe Hendrickson, Natalie Hendrickson, Emily Hendrickson, Amanda Coffey, Jennifer Coffey, Riley New, Marlee Tuggle, and Kalie Boyd and nephews, Matthew Carpenter, Everett Sullivan, Gary Tuggle, George Young, Charles Hendrickson, Billy Ray Hendrickson, Kaleb Honey, Gavin Sullivan, Austin Sullivan, Gunner Hines, Jonathan Young, Michael Adam Sloan, Anthony Honey, Johnny Ray Stout, Nicholas Coffey, Seth New, and Micah Tuggle. 


Will is preceded in death by his parents, Ira Honey and Emma Elizabeth Webb Honey and his sister, Phyllis Honey. 


Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Monday, March 24, 2025 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Lancaster with Pastor Jason Wheeler officiating. Burial will be Ottawa Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Sunday, March 23, 2025 at the funeral home.


Pallbearers will be Justin Wilmot, James Porter, Brian Swinney, John Smith, Gunner Hines, Michael Hasty, Bradley League, Austin Sullivan, Gavin Sullivan, and Everett Sullivan. Steve Simpson, Michael Lane, and Tommy Gibson. 


Honorary pallbearers Stephanie Wilmot, Samantha Tuggle, Shanna Gibson, Michael Lane, Mark Metcalf, Hogan Moore, Jr., Billy Ray Moore and Steve Simpson.
