Walter Clay "Tiddle" Hester, 87, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Baptist Health in Lexington. Surviving is his loving wife of 57 years, Alberta. He was born on November 24, 1931 in Lincoln County, KY to the late Calvin and Sally Cox Hester.
Tiddle was of the Methodist faith and faithfully attended Fairview Baptist in Lincoln County. He was a member of the National Guard for over 28 years. Tiddle owned and operated Tri-County Meat Processing for 15 years and retired from A & P as a meat merchandiser after 35 years. He loved the outdoors including hunting and fishing and loved Boyle County Football and was one of their biggest fans. Tiddle was a Mason as well as part of the Shriners for many years.
Also surviving is a son, Jeff Hester(Jamie) of Lancaster, KY; two daughters, Tina Kelly(Gordon) and Becky Robb(David) both of Maysville; grandchildren, Justin Kinney, Lori Malone, David Robb Jr., Zach Hester, Holli Hester and Jake Hester and great-grandchildren, Braxton Malone, Carter Malone, Sage Kinney, Hunter Kinney and Colton Kinney.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Ralph, Kenneth, Jack and Billy Hester, and a sister, Emogene Harvey.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, November 4, 2019 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Lancaster with Rev. Don Hatton officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Sunday.
A Masonic Service will be held at 7:00 PM by Lancaster Lodge No. 104 F. & A.M. on Sunday night.
Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are Ronnie Hester, Charles Hester, Billy Hester, Rhodes Hester, Leroy Horn, John Hester, Dr. Robert F. Hendrickson, and Stewart Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers are Justin Kinney, David Robb Jr., Zach Hester, and Jake Hester.
