Vanessa Warren Obituary

Vanessa Ann Warren, 64, of Danville, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was born on January 17, 1959 in Garrard County to the late Thomas Madison and Anna Elizabeth Palmer Warren.

Vanessa graduated from Garrard County High School. She was a former employee of Cowden’s, American Greetings, Chills, and currently employed at Liberty Mart. Vanessa was an avid fan of U of L basketball and football. She liked bowling, working jigsaw puzzles, and playing bingo. She accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of First Baptist Church Lancaster.

She is survived by her special companion of 40 years, Travis Stallworth; three sisters, Elizabeth Arlene Mays (Gary) of Harrodsburg, Juanita Warren of Lancaster, and Madeline Warren of Lexington; a nephew, Brandon Burnside of Lancaster; a niece, Elizabeth Michelle Mays of Lexington and a great niece, Elizabeth Gabrielle Mays of Lexington and a host of cousins, friends and extended family.

Vanessa is preceded in death by her daughter, Nia Madisen Stallworth and her parents.

Funeral services will be 12pm Thursday November 30, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Lancaster with Rev. Michael McPherson officiating. Burial will follow in Hilldale Cemetery in Danville, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Spurlin Funeral Home of Lancaster and Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 11am-12pm at First Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be James Huffman, Jerry Matthews, Antwoine Linton, Terry Lee Dunn, Jerry Jones, and Montez Ison.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Hawkins, Cecil Smith, Terry Dunn, Kenny Patel, Cabal Merritt, and Charles Alcorn.
