Stella Virginia Buford, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at the age of 83. She was born February 6, 1937 to the late Ida Campbell and Morris Pullins.
Stella joined the church at an early age and changed her membership to First Baptist Church in Lancaster, Kentucky later in life. Stella was a loving mother, sister, spouse, grandmother and friend. She spent most of her life caring and raising her children and grandchildren. Stella had a heart of gold and would give anyone the shirt off her back. Stella would provide a safe haven for all family and friends if ever needed. There wasn’t a child or grandchild that wasn’t touched or affected by Stella’s selfless acts of kindness and big loving heart.
She leaves to cherish her memory four daughters, Lisa Buford, Evonne Buford, Ida Dobson and Renee (Tony) Hood; four sons, James “June” Buford, Elvis Buford, James Robert (Tera) Boatley, and Kenton (Codie) Minter; two sisters, Vernice Pullins and Minnie Pullins; two sister-in-laws, Linda Penman and Rose Ison. She also leaves behind several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Stella was preceded in death by her mother Ida Campbell and father Morris Pullins; her children, Charles Buford, Kenneth Pullins, Pearl Buford and Beatrice Logan; her siblings, Calvin Pullins and Leonard Pullins.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, November 7, 2020 at First Baptist Church in Lancaster with burial in Duncantown Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11:00 am until service time.
