Mary “Shelia” Wrenn, 65, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medial Center in Danville. She was born in Garrard County on June 9, 1959 to James Harvey Henderson (Carolyn) of Lancaster and Para Lee Bean of Lancaster.
Shelia was very active and involved in her church, Danville Church of God. Shelia loved her children and family fiercely. Her love for her grandchildren, whom she called lovebugs, was limitless and she spoiled them and her nieces and nephews. Shelia was a friend to many and her loving presence will be missed.
She leaves behind her children, Christopher (Cyndi) Wrenn, of Danville; Kimberly (Christopher) Wrenn Fisher of Lancaster; Daniel Henderson of Lancaster; grandchildren: Hannah Wrenn, Cierra Wrenn, and Hayden Wrenn; great-grandchild Anna Caudill; brothers, Bruce (Karen) Henderson of Toccoa, GA and Roger (Zelphia) Henderson of Lancaster; a sister Christi (Ronald) Asher of Lancaster; 7 nieces and nephews; 10 great nieces and nephews; and life-long friend and “sister” Debbie Austin.
She is preceded in death by her oldest friend and father of her children, Julian “Bear” Wrenn.
Visitation and service will be held Friday, February 14, 2025 at the Danville Church of God. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm with funeral service following at 7:00 pm. Pastor Bryan Montgomery will officiate.
Graveside services will be held 11am Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Manse Cemetery in Paint Lick, Kentucky.
Pallbearers are Anthony Henderson, Nathan Henderson, David Poynter, Elisha Henderson, Christopher Fisher, Hayden Wrenn, Christopher Wrenn and Matt Garrison.
