Sallesa “Lisa” Faye Dismeaux 65, of Boyle County, went to her eternal resting place Friday, January 5, 2024 at UK Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, KY. 

She was born September 15, 1958 in Lancaster, Ky to the late James Andrew and Anna Lois Davis. She is preceded in death by her husband Garland Dismeaux, and her furbabies Hannah and Sport.

At a very young age Sallesa, her mother and two sisters began singing gospel music. Anna Lois named them the “three little echoes” as she began teaching them harmonies at the age of five.

At the age of 11 she became a member of First Baptist Church of Lancaster, where she was active in the choir for several years. She later attended Lancaster First Assembly. 

Lisa graduated from Garrard Co High School in 1976, where she participated in the Marching Band and Softball team. Following in her fathers footsteps, she found her true calling in life and enrolled in the Danville School of Practical Nursing and graduated in 1978. After graduation, she began her nursing career as an LPN at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, KY. She received several recognition awards for her dedication and performance during her 30 year nursing career. Sallesa had a passion for animals, traveling, hosting events, organizing, watching a good boxing match and true crime television. She also enjoyed making others laugh, taking care of others, showing compassion, love and most importantly spending time with family and friends.

She is survived in death by three sisters Darlene Reed, Cincinnati, OH; Terri Davis, Lancaster, KY; Cassaundra “Saunie” Alcorn, Stanford, KY; step daughter Donna Lewis, Danville, KY; two first cousins Sharon Ison, Lancaster, KY; Caroline Davis, Port Chester, NY; two nieces Jasmine Hendrickson(Harry), Stanford, KY; Patrice Alcorn, Danville, KY; two nephews Paul Smith, Cincinnati, OH; Shamar Lewis FL, great nephew Zayden Batista, Stanford, KY; great niece Ariana “BESTIE” Batista, Stanford, KY; a host of “adopted” daughters, brothers, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and cousins; and special friends Toni King, Lexington, KY; Nina Story, Danville, KY and childhood friends Vickie Hudson Lexington, KY and Valerie Frye, Danville, KY

We will cherish the memories we have made through the years. Sallesa will forever be imprinted on our hearts just like the red lipstick mark she left on many of our cheeks. Love you forever and always.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, January 12, 2024 at Lancaster First Assembly of God.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Spurlin Funeral Home with an additional visitation from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Lancaster First Assembly of God on Friday, January 12, 2024.

Graveside services will be 2:30 PM Tuesday January 16, 2024 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, KY.
