Sadie Jeanette Cain

Sadie Jeanette Cain, 80, of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at her home. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Roy.

Sadie was born on March 29, 1940 in Boyle County, Ky to the late Ralph and Lilly Smith Satterly. She was retired from Palm Beach Company in Danville. Sadie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading, flowers, and watching hummingbirds.

Sadie was a charter member of Willow Grove Baptist Church.

Along with her husband, Roy, she is also survived by her children: Ricky Cain of Lancaster, Roxann Lamb (James) of Lancaster, and Mark Cain (Barb) of Brodhead; a sister, Betty Jean Pass (Robert) of Lancaster; her grandchildren: Tessa Parsons (Josh), Megan Bailey (D.A.), Ryan Marsee (Layne), Gentry Cain, and Sallie Cain; great- grandchildren: Alden Woods, Brecken Woods, Jordan Marsee, and Cainen Parsons; four step-grandchildren, many step great-grandchildren, two nieces, and a nephew.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Clyde Satterly, and a grandson, John Benjamin Lamb.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, September 25, 2020 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Lancaster. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 26, 2020 with Bro. Johnny Thompson officiating.

Sadie will be laid to rest in Lancaster Cemetery.
