Ruth Huffman

Ruth Huffman, a beloved mother, grandmother, and a true Testament to love and faith, passed away on November 2, 2023. She was a remarkable women who touched the lives of everyone she met. Ruth was born October 22, 1933 in Casey County to the late Louis and Rudell Hughes. 

Ruth was known for her unwavering love, care, and boundless talent that graced the lives of her family and friends. Her love knew no bounds and she dedicated her life to nurturing her children and fostering a sense of togetherness that will forever be cherished. Ruth’s deep-rooted faith was a cornerstone of her life. She loved God with all her heart and served as a guiding light for her family and the community she was a part of. Her devotion to her faith was truly inspiring and a source of strength for many. 

Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved son, William Danny Huffman, who she cherished deeply and her husband, WL Huffman. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Dorothy, Ruby, and Telus. 

She is survived by three loving daughters, Linda Jacob (Russell, dec.) of Lancaster, Cathy Jacob (Matt, dec.) of Ohio, and Lisa Boyd (Pat) of Lancaster, a testament to her legacy of love and family unity. Her memory will live on in their hearts and the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. 

Also surviving are grandchildren, Melinda Jacob, Joey and Shannon Henschen, Mike and Sandy Huffman, Brian Huffman, Crystal Jacob, Shawn and Beth Boyd, Christopher and Tabby Boyd, Tyler Jacob, and Chuck Jacob; great-grandchildren, Megan Jones, Patrick Boyd, Emily Boyd, Josh Hernandez, Bailey Henchen (Madison), Brody Henchen (Joe), Skyler Huffman, Miranda Butler, and Nathan Butler and great grandchild, Jeremiah Padgett. 

Funeral services will be 1pm Monday, November 6, 2023 at Spurlin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7pm on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at the funeral home. 

Pallbearers will be Shawn Boyd, Chris Boyd, Nathan Butler, Tyler Jacob, Joey Henchen, Josh Hernandez, Bailey Henchen, and Joey Schroeder.
