Roy (Doug) Douglas Bolton

Roy Douglas (Doug) Bolton, 60, formerly of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at his home in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

Doug was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 7, 1963 to the late Roy Bolton and the late Vernell Glenn.

Doug was a plumber by trade. He had a big heart and was always full of fun and laughing.  He also loved the beach.

He leaves behind one sister, Rita (Freeman) Wylie of Paint Lick, KY; two brothers, Philip (Pam) Bolton of Lexington, KY and Jeff (Melonie) Bolton of Iron City, Tennessee.  He also leaves nieces, Angie (Jesse) Wagoner and Alyssa Bolton; nephews, Austin Bolton and Nicholas Bolton; great nephews, Noah Wagoner and Jackson Wagoner; and a host of family and friends.

Doug was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, JK and Fanie Jane Sparks Glenn; and paternal grandparents, Taylor and Irene Preston Bolton, all of Garrard County, Kentucky.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Sammy Glenn officiating.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until time of service.
