Rosie Lee Lear, 91, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, August 5, 2024 at her home. She was born on April 23, 1933 in Madison County, KY to the late Tom and Hazel Robinson Ray.
Rosie was a housewife. She enjoyed working on the farm with her husband, William. She enjoyed cooking. Rosie loved her dogs and cats. The most important aspect of her life was her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Rosie is survived by five sons, Doug Rollins (Katie) of Paint Lick, Dale Rollins (DeeDee) of Richmond, Bill Lear of Lancaster, Carl Lear of Paint Lick and Matthew Lear of Lancaster; Three daughters, Carylon Ray (Wilbert) of Bryantsville, Jean Gentry of Lancaster and Ruth Grow (Stacy) of Lancaster; a brother, Donald Ray of Monticello; a sister, Betty Karnes (Steve) of Richmond; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Rosie was also preceded in death by husband, William Franklin Lear and her first husband, Joel Rollins; a son, Mark Thomas Rollins; a baby girl; two sisters, Mary Hartman, Geneva Bowling; and a brother, Wayne Ray.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Meece officiating.
Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 PM Friday, August 9, 2024 at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Manse Cemetery in Paint Lick.
Active pallbearers are Michael Gentry, Josh Ray, Wayne Ray, Stacy Grow, Sam Lear, and Joe Rollins.
Honorary pallbearers are Shane Rollins, Jason Hall, Keith Saylor, Jesse Haitt, Dustin Rollins, and Chris Rollins.
