Ronnie Broadus Obituary

Jimmie Rondal “Ronnie” Broadus, 84, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at his home on April 26, 2025. He was born on December 26, 1940 in Garrard County to the late James C. and Pauline Watkins Broadus. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Mildred Tudor Broadus. 


Ronnie started his career in business as a partner in Burdette Wholesale. He later owned numerous successful businesses over the years including, Ron’s Mini Market, B&M Mini Market, Ron’s Laundry Mat, Ron’s Tobacco, Ron’s Pawn Shop, and J&R Pawn. He enjoyed farming and was an avid gun, knife, coin and cast iron collector. Ronnie loved his family immensely and was a faithful member of Lancaster Baptist Church. 


He is survived by a daughter, Debbie L. Middleton (David) of Lancaster; a son, Eddie Clay Tudor (Crystal) of Lancaster; grandchildren, Rhonda LeeAnn Yoder (David) of Lancaster, Ronald David Middleton (Bobi) of Stanford; Kylee, Karoline, and Klayson Bo Tudor of Lancaster; five great-grandchildren, Michael David, Caleb, Jude, Blythe, and Magdalena; a sister, Aileen Simpson of Lancaster; niece Roxanne Newby (Daryl); nephew, Steve Simpson (Trish) of Lancaster and a very special niece, Charity Lane. 


He is preceded in death by his brother in law, David Simpson and a brother, Wayne Broadus. 


Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, May 2, 2025 at Spurlin Funeral Home with Dr. Harold Best, Bro. Matt Cooke, and Bro. Dwayne Lobb officiating. Burial will follow at Lancaster Cemetery. Visitation will be 5pm-9pm Thursday, May 1, 2025 at the funeral home.


Pallbearers will be Tommy Tudor, Bobby Tudor, Steve Simpson, Eddie Clay Tudor, Ronald David Middleton, David Yoder, Jim Taylor, and Dathan Lane. 


Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. James Werkmeister, Ballard Men’s Sunday School Class, Tuesday Morning Men’s Bible Study, and McDonald’s Breakfast Friends. 


Memorial contributions are preferred to Lancaster Baptist Church Family Life Center.
