Robert “Wesley” Bray, 78, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at his home. He is survived by his loving wife, Valorie Acton Bray.
Wesley was born in Pulaski County on December 4, 1942 to the late Oscar and Josephine Hargis Bray.
Wesley loved to hunt in his early years, fishing, and farming, where he raised tobacco and cattle. He was of the Baptist faith. Wesley will be terribly missed by his loved ones. His beautiful smile will be cherished forever. Wesley was truly one of a kind.
Along with his wife, Wesley, is survived by two sons, Robert Wesley Bray Jr. (Tina) of Glasgow and Adam Bray (Delores) of Richmond; two daughters, Lisa McFerron (Dalmas) of Lancaster and Kelly Bolton (Marvin) of Lancaster; one brother, Ronnie Bray of Somerset; seven sisters, Evelyn Stewart of Danville, Wanda Ridner of Somerset, Linda Acton of Somerset, Bonnie Davis of Lancaster, Donna Burton of Somerset, Peggy Simpson of Somerset and Kathy Gibson of Somerset; Grandchildren, Christopher Bray, Steven Bray, Krista Caudill, John Hennery McFerron, Valorie McFerron and Canaan Bolton-Fox; sixteen great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren; uncle, Charles Hargis of Martinsville, In; aunt Velma Price of Somerset, several nieces and nephews and a special caregiver, Alex Fox.
Wesley was preceded in death by four siblings, Jearl Bray, Jimmy Wayne Bray, Roger Dale Bray and Betty Jane Bray.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Wallaceton Baptist Church 3121 Guynn Road Paint Lick, Ky 40461 with Bro. Leonard Harrison, Bro. Raymond Ridener and Bro. Morris Trayner officiating.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 31, 2021 from 6:00 to 9:00 at the Church.
A private family graveside will follow.
Pallbearers will be Robert Bray, Adam Bray, Lisa McFerron, Kelly Bolton, Valorie Bray, Dalmas McFerron, Alex Fox, John Henry McFerron and Steven Bray.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Krista Caudill, Canaan Bolton-Fox, Valorie McFerron, Chris Bray, Ethan Blanton and Marvin Bolton.
