Vivian Louise “Penny” Logan, 66, of Lancaster, wife of Davey Wayne Logan of 50 years, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Select Specialty Hospital. Born August 21, 1958 in Lancaster, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Harry S. Turner and Ruth “Boots” Vandyke. 

She joined St. Predestinarian Church at an early age and taught Sunday school. Graduated from Garrard County Schools in 1976, she was a member of the marching band. She was employed at Cowdens, Whirlpool, and CAP for many years. She enjoyed going on trips, going to ballgames, getting out and shopping, going out to bingo, and family get togethers. She loved being around her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. 

She leaves to cherish her memories; a son Davey “Pookie” (Amy) Logan Jr. of Lancaster; one brother Paul (Margaret Bea) VanDyke of Danville; eleven grandchildren Jordan (Katie) Logan, Davian (Adreanna) Logan, Devan Logan, Desmin Logan, Davan "Sis" Logan, Daylan Logan, Alicia Logan, Darian Logan, Cash Logan, Kain Logan, and Destiny Logan; four great grandchildren Carter Logan, Mercedee Logan, DaKobe Logan, and Draytan Logan; five sister-in-laws Margaret VanDyke, Liz Ison, Shirley Owsley, Barbara Pigg, and Mary Boards; one brother-in-law Mike Logan; one aunt Rose Ison and many nieces and nephews. 

Penny is preceded in death by a daughter Cindy Logan and a son Neil Logan; three brothers Melvin Ison, Arthur "Butch" Ison, and Curt Ison; one sister, Midge Ison; and a special friend Joslyn Harper.

Funeral services will be 11:30am Friday, December 6, 2024 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 5-8pm at the funeral home.   

Pallbearers will be Jordan Logan, Davian Logan, Daylan Logan, Darian Logan, Devan Logan, Cash Logan, Kain Logan and Trayce Poynter. 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Arness Buford, Cecilia VanDyke, Lamont Logan, Rosalon Jones, Ralph VanDyke, Pauline Black, Montez Ison, Paige Harper, Ruben Catching, Kristi Blackford, Nikki Norris and Megan Dismeaux.
