Pauline Hopkins

Pauline Frances Goode Hopkins, 81, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021 at her home. Pauline was born to the late Howard “Buck” Goode and Nellie Mae Simpson Goode on June 28, 1940 in Hustonville, Kentucky. She was the owner of Jr’s Restaurant from 1983 – 2002. She served many people from Lancaster and surrounding counties.

Pauline leaves behind one daughter, Karen Sowders (Kim) of Stanford; two sons, Sam Bastin (Shannon) of Danville and Ray Bastin of Sacramento, California; five grandchildren, Christopher Sowders (Kat Dinsmore) of Danville, Leslie Baker (Kim) of Lancaster, Molly Baker of Lancaster, Daniel Bastin of Lexington and Kristyn Bastin of Nashville; two great grandchildren, Ethan Baker of Louisville and Maishaun Baker of Lancaster; one brother, Jim Goode (Janet) of Indiana; one sister, Lucille Stanley Vanoy of Hustonville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Hopkins Jr.; a daughter, Sharon Bastin Baker; a brother, Ronald Goode.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Lancaster with Brother Jerry Browning officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday.

A private family burial will be at Hustonville Cemetery.
