Parker Anderson

Bowen “Parker” Anderson, 30, departed this life on Sunday, August 16, 2020, in Lancaster, KY.  He was born on June 5, 1990 in Lexington, KY to Brenda Carole Young and the late Franklin Gerone Anderson.

He was a 2008 graduate of Garrard County High School, where he enjoyed and excelled in sports. Parker loved basketball and was an avid sports fan of the University of Louisville Cardinals, just like his dad.

Most of Parker’s work experience was in construction, a field that he enjoyed, worked hard at and did well. Parker loved spending time with his family and friends.  His loving personality touched so many. He truly enjoyed life to the fullest, even when he was down. He will forever be loved and remembered for his smile, genuine kindness, love of life and caring personality.

Parker leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Brenda Carole Young of Lancaster, KY; grandmother, Norma Young of Jamestown, Ky; brother, Clinton Anderson of Lancaster, KY; eight sisters, Kelee Penman and Edie Anderson of Lancaster, KY, Stefanie Brown of Somerset, Ky, Nina Story of Danville, Ky, Djuana Green, Marilyn Huffman, JoAnn Huffman and Vickie Stigall of Lexington, Ky; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.   

He is preceded in death by his father, Franklin Gerone Anderson, grandmother, Edith Roberta Beasley, and grandfathers, Roy Lee Young and William Stewart.

Funeral services 1PM Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David McPherson officiating. Burial in Duncantown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11AM until time of service.

Pallbearers are Justin Caldwell, Zach Day, Fred Hayes, Derek Naylor, Nate Ploskonka , Eric Quisenberry , and Josh Snow.

Honorary pallbearers are  Marquis Hunter, Dan Leavell, Tyler Perkins, Montice Quisenberry , Timothy Quisenberry, Shannon Penman, Eric "Loc" Quisenberry, Devon Griffin, Keegan Penman, Antonio Graves, Sean Paul Leavell, Matthew Fraizure, Jay Caldwell, Qustisha Smith and Members of Garrard County Class of 2008.
