Nancy Tapp Major, 83, of Lancaster, passed away March 15, 2025 in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. She was born in Garrard County to the late Stanley Tapp and Gladys Naylor Durham and Herbert Durham. 

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, James Major.

Nancy was a member of God’s Landmark Church.

She loved the outdoors and had such a heart for animals.

Surviving is a son, Ricky Major (Tiffany) of Lancaster; two daughters, Kathy Lee of Perryville and Tracey Edgington (Gilbert) of Lancaster; grandchildren, Heather Bottom (Matt), Adam Major, Jamie Patrick(David), Shavon Osborne (Shawn), Daniel Edgington (Ashley), Kimberly Edgington (Anthony Wireman), and Blake Lee (Rebecca); eighteen great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Timothy Major and a grandchild, Brittney Major.

Funeral service will be 11:00 am Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Spurlin Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Noe officiating. 

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. 

Burial will follow the service at Danville Memorial Gardens in Danville

Pallbearers will be Adam Major, Daniel Edgington, Blake Lee, Shawn Osborne, Anthony Wireman, and Matt Bottom.

Honorary pallbearers will be Shavon Osborne, Kim Edgington Wireman, Heather Bottom, and Jamie Patrick.
