Mirle T. Mink, 72, of Lancaster, passed away January 31, 2022 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. He was born March 13, 1949 to the late Woodrow and Emma Bertie Carpenter Mink in Rockcastle County, Kentucky. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Vaughan.
Mirle worked for the maintenance department for Asbury College for many years and was a member of Cornerstone Assembly of God in Danville. He will be remembered for being hard-working and patient. Mirle was a kind and gentle soul who loved to hike and be outdoors. He adored his family and lived life to the fullest.
Surviving is a son, Craig Mink (Renita) of Nicholasville; three step daughters, Sybil Smith of Lancaster, Deidre Riley of Richmond, and Scarlett Towles (Chuck) of Nicholasville; siblings, Corenia Smith of Barbourville, Joyce Land of Richmond, Lucy Montgomery of Nicholasville, Delphine Byrd of Lancaster, Darrell Mink of Nicholasville and Harold Mink of Nicholasville; grandchildren, Stephen Smith, DeVon Griffin, Erika Morris, Kevin Kessler and Nicholas Mink; and one great-granddaughter, Melodie Griffin.
Mirle is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Bill, Jim, Lawrence, and Jack Mink.
A memorial service will be 2pm Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Cornerstone Assembly of God in Danville with Pastor Tom Lane officiating.
