Minnie Garnetta Chipley, 81, Nicholasville, formerly of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. Minnie was born on August 4, 1942 in Bath County, KY to the late Chester and Daisy Cogswell Thornsburg.

She was preceded in death her loving husband, Ronald Chipley.

Minnie worked for McKechnie in Nicholasville for over 25 years.

Surviving is a daughter, JoAnn Himes of Nicholasville; a stepson, Daryl Chipley of New York; two sisters, Joyce Downs and Loretta Crouch both of Olympia, KY; six grandchildren; and several great and great great grandchildren.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Lynn Halsey and daughter, Kathy Jean McNeese

Funeral services are 12:00 PM Tuesday October 24, 2023 at Spurlin Funeral Home.

Visitation is 5:00-7:00 PM Monday, October 23, 2023 at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens in Nicholasville, KY.

Pallbearers are Lee Atkins, Mike Downs, Johnny Crouch, Dustin Meadows, Chase Burton, and Ryan Bruner
