Michael Irvin Asberry, 57, of Lancaster, passed away August 19, 2021 in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born July 30, 1964 in Garrard County to the late Charles Asberry and Katherine Ramsey Asberry.
Mike owned and operated Asberry Excavating, where he contracted for Ball Homes and many other companies in surrounding counties. Mike adored his girls and grandsons dearly. Mike loved being outdoors whether he was golfing, hunting, going to the lake with his boat, or farming. Mike also enjoyed horse racing and owned several race horses throughout his life.
Surviving are two daughters, Tiffany Jones (Justin) of Lancaster and Hillary Galloway (Michael) of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Carson, Carter, and Maddox Jones and Rowan Galloway; four nephews, Bobby Joe Padgett, Brian Padgett, Dexter Padgett, and Kurtis Bolton and one niece, Candace Randolph.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Annistyn Jones and siblings, Billy Joe Padgett, Jackie Padgett, and Vickie Bolton.
Funeral services will be 2pm Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rodney Montgomery officiating. Burial in Lancaster Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from 5-9pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Rick Bolton, Leigh Karr, Tony Phelps, Timmy Phelps, Richard Asberry, Jeff Asberry, and Fred Poynter.
