Martha Walton

Martha Elizabeth Ballard Walton, 85, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 at UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin. 

Martha was born on November 24, 1933 in Garrard County, Kentucky to the late William and Maggie Hatfield Ballard.

Martha was a homemaker. She enjoyed farming, working in her flower garden and was a faithful member of Good Hope Baptist Church.

Surviving are three sons, David Walton, Jerry Walton(Sandy) and Barry Walton(Theresa) all of Lancaster; two brothers, Howard Ballard(Marilyn) of Lancaster, and Lloyd Ballard(Shellie) of Florida; two sisters, Ella Mae Whitaker(William) of Lancaster, and Katie Terry(Wayne) of Stanford; seven grandchildren, Jamie Walton, Ashley Davidson, Ashley McQuerry, Calvin M. Walton ,Steven Walton, Jessica Alford, and Lance Walton; and nine great-grandchildren, Jaden Ramsey, Parker Walton, Katie Walton, Allie Walton, Brantley Walton, Bentley Ramsey, Christopher Alford, Cason Alford, and Emma Alford.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Christine Palmer. 

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday February 26, 2019 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Johnny Baker officiating.

Visitation will be 5-9 pm on Monday. 

Pallbearers are Jamie Walton, Lance Walton, Calvin M. Walton, Brantley Walton, Parker Walton, Justin Alford, and James Davidson II.
