Mark Sowder

Mark Anthony Sowder, 55, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020 at his home. He was born March 3, 1965 in Garrard County to the late Kenneth Sowder and Catherine Richardson Sowder of Lancaster.

Mark was a skilled electrician and worked for various electric companies. He loved to garden, farm and collected toy cars. Loved his music and his family immensely. He was a member of Lancaster Baptist Church.

Mark is survived by his mother, Catherine Sowder of Lancaster; daughter, Amber Sowder of Wilmore; brother, David Sowder (Susan) of Lancaster; granddaughter, Scarlett Doan of Wilmore; niece, Leslie Newcomb; nephew, Scott Sowder (Martina); two nieces, Braxton Sowder and Phoenix Newcomb and one nephew, Trevor Jones.

Funeral services 1PM Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Matthew Cooke officiating. Burial will be in Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11AM-1PM.
