Marjorie Jean Parliman, 89, of Lancaster, passed away at her home on July 16, 2024. She was born June 25, 1935 in Pine Plains, NY to the late Wilderd and Helen Smith.
Marjorie was a housekeeper in Pine Plains, NY for many years; she retired in 2005 to spend time with her daughters. She liked ice fishing, working beside her husband, but being a mother was her great joy.
Marjorie was a member of the Lancaster Nazarene Church.
In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Gwinn Parliman, and a sister, Evelyn Coons.
She is survived by daughters Evelyn Tirey (David) and Lori McGhee, both of Lancaster; grandchildren, Tabetha Yonts, Joshua Tirey, and Gwyneth McGhee; great-grandchildren Waylon Tirey, Allis Tirey, Winston Tirey and Jamison Yonts; a sister, Shirley MacPherson (Walden) of Pine Plains, NY; niece Roanne Farina of Pine Plains, NY and numerous cousins in upstate New York.
A private family service will be held.
