Margaret Baker Day, 75, of Garrard County, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025 at her home. Margaret was born on June 26, 1950, in Leslie County to the late Wilson and Recey Baker. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 57 years, Clinton Day. 

Margaret was a member of Maple Avenue Church of Christ, where she loved teaching Sunday school and singing in church. She was Clinton's partner on the farm, from tending cattle to raising tobacco. They were truly a team. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, and embroidery. Margaret was a loving mother and grandmother who took great pride in her family.

Surviving are her daughter, Michelle Day Johnson (Timothy) of Jackson, grandchildren, Ellen Johnson of Corbin, Daniel Lee Correll, Jr. (Cameron), and Nick Cody Correll, both of Lancaster; great-grandchildren, Larkin Correll and Lucy Correll of Lancaster; and sisters, Loretta Steele (Mike) of Lexington and Marie Day of Leslie County.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Harvey, Dennis, WT, Coy, Pearl, Paul Jr., and James Baker and a sister, Mary Joseph.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Spurlin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11 am until service time on Thursday.
