Lora "Bonnie" Art

Lora “Bonnie” Rice Art, 83, of Paint Lick, passed away September 24, 2023 at Landmark of Lancaster. She was born on August 17, 1940 in Moreland, Kentucky to the late Chester and Susan Upthegrove Rice. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Wayne Douglas Art.

Bonnie was a graduate of Hustonville High School and worked for the Cabinet for Health and Family for many years.  She enjoyed antiquing and collecting photos of family and friends.  She loved her family immensely, and adored her grandchildren.

 She is also survived by her son, Wayne Douglas Art II (Carolyn) of Knoxville, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Lorle Young (John) of Sevierville, Tennessee and Matthew Art (Olivia), of Knoxville, Tennessee and sisters, Frances Coleman of Hustonville, Vivian Wilson of Junction City and Shirley Rice of Danville.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jack Rice.

Funeral services will be 11am Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bob Ritter officiating. Burial will follow at Old Paint Lick Cemetery in Manse. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 5-8pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Art, John Young, Larry Oliver, Ryan Art, Randy Long and Harrison Art.
