Lillian Teater Obituary

Lillian Teater, 86, of Danville, passed away Friday, May 8, 2020 at Charleston Health Care in Danville. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Manford. Lillian was born on March 7, 1934 in Wayne County, KY to the late Burton J. and Alla Mae Hicks.


She worked at Cowden's Manufacturing for 15 years, was a private sitter for 10 years, and was a homemaker. 


Lillian was a member of Lancaster Church of God. 


Surviving are two daughters, Carolyn Robinson(B.J.) of Perryville, and Phyllis Burke(David) of Hopkinsville; two sisters, Mabel D. Hicks, and Lucille Carpenter; grandchildren, Shane McQuerry, Heather Redick(Neil), Amy Miller(Roy), Kelly Garner(Michelle) and Leslie McFarlan(Scotty); great-grandchildren, Micah Gammon(Shelby), Amber Gammon, Emily McQuerry, Ryan Redick, Mia Redick, Tyler Gammon, Elijah Garner, Jace Garner, and Zoey McFarlan. 


Lillian was also preceded in death by siblings, Cosby Hicks, Cecil R. Hicks, Geneva Irene Hicks Coffey, Hobert William Hicks, and Janet Hicks Lair.


A private funeral will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Aaron Hackworth officiating. 


Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery. 


The funeral service will be live streamed on Spurlin Funeral Home of Lancaster Facebook page for public viewing at 1:00 PM Tuesday May 12, 2020.
