Leonard LuRay Morris

Leonard LuRay Morris, resident of Berea, Kentucky passed away on April 25, 2020 after a long illness at the age of 81.

Leonard was born July 18, 1938 and raised in Clearville, PA, the son of Leonard and Crystal (Amick) Morris and brother of Lottie LaRue (Morris) Grimes, who have all preceded him in death.  He graduated from Everett High School in 1956 and served 20 years in United States Air Force, including 2 tours in Vietnam in the 1st Combat Evaluation Group. After retirement he worked for over 20 years in transportation for the Madison County Board of Education. 

He is survived by his spouse Arritta (Bennett) Morris of Berea whom he picked up at a San Antonio skating rink on a busy Saturday night in 1959 and decided to keep for the next 60 years. She was impressed by his car and red hair. He is also survived by his three children: Michael Morris (Michelle May) and Kari Morris (Bobby Anglin) of Berea and Holly Morris of Los Angeles, CA and his 2 extraordinarily obnoxious little dogs Winston and Willie, who loved him (and no one else).

Full military burial will be performed at Camp Nelson, Ky at a later date.
