Laura Lee Maupin East, 48, of Lancaster, passed away August 18, 2022 in Stanford, Kentucky. She was born July 16, 1974 to the late Ronald and Betty Maupin. Laura is survived by her husband of 29 years, Stuart East. 

Laura was an adored teacher at Camp Dick Robinson School and lit up a room with her smile and loving personality. She was so proud of her family and her boys. Laura was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. 

Surviving are three sons, Aaron East (April), Elwood East, and Jackson East, all of Lancaster, a sister, Stephanie Wagner (Gene) of Boone County, two grandchildren, Kinzie East and Abby East of Lancaster; two nephews, Gene Wagner Jr. and Brett Wagner and two nieces, Katie and Loren Wagner. 

Funeral services will be 1pm Monday, August 22, 2022 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Grant Hardwick officiating. Burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, August 21, 2022 from 5-8pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Elwood East, Jackson East, Gene Wagner, Brett Wagner, John East and Aaron East.
