Kymillo McNulty Obituary

Kymillo Hackensmith van Outer McNulty, 82, of Lancaster, passed away July 2, 2024 at Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born on February 6, 1942 in Lexington to the late Charles and Lucinda Chichester Hackensmith. Kymillo is preceded in death by her husband, Edmund McNulty.


Kymillo graduated from Henry Clay High School and worked as teacher and CNA for many years. She loved Goodwill and collector of all things. Kymillo loved the country and all her animals. She was a member of St William Catholic Church in Lancaster, Kentucky.


Surviving are two sons, Robert Scott van Outer (Denita) of Louisville and Raymond van Outer of Lexington; one daughter, Virginia Ginger (William) of Lawrenceburg; siblings, Marlene Thurston of Louisville, Darlene Sanders of San Diego, Charles Hackensmith of Michigan, and Kathy Crowe of Lexington; nine granddaughters, Rebecca Cao (Van), Kelly Tervol (Jason), Laura van Outer (Brett), Jessica Summers (Evan), Rachel Banks (William), Erin van Outer (Sean), Kaitlyn van Outer (Eric), Kaela van Outer and Johanna Mia van Outer; sixteen great-grandchildren, Journey, Lily, Jaycee, Haley, Rydia, Regan, Sophia, Kayden, Elijah, Zoey, Everett, Logan, Leah, Dakota, Edward, and Rhett and numerous nieces and nephews.


Kymillo is preceded in death by her husband, sister, Linda Sallee, niece, Nancy Toms, and daughter-in-law, Christine van Outer.


Funeral services will be 12pm Monday, July 8, 2024 at Spurlin Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be 10am until funeral time.


Pallbearers will be Billy Ginger, Sean Smith, Van Cao, Eric Ambuger, Darren Lee, and William Banks.
