Kyle "Tadpole" Murphy, 90, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021 at his home. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Florence of Lancaster. He was born on March 20, 1931 in Garrard County, KY to the late Allie and Bessie Osborne Murphy.
Kyle served for our country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Kyle worked for Palm Beach Manufacturing for over 15 years and owned and operated Murphy's Auto Parts for many years.
He was a member of Lancaster Church of the Nazarene.
Also surviving are two sons, Jimmy Murphy(Janet) of Florence, KY and Mark Murphy(Robin) of Lancaster; six grandchildren, Kyle Murphy(Lia), Jordan Murphy(Ashley), Staci Burton(Richard), Carmen Graf(Caleb), Devin Murphy(Breanna), and Dalton Murphy; seven great grandchildren, Riley, Erin Edgar, Logan, Elijah, Mya, Nora, and Clayton; and a nephew, Ray Murphy(Sharon).
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Allie Murphy Jr.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Lancaster Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Dwayne Lobb and Daryl Hodge officiating.
Visitation will be 5-9 PM Monday, May 24, 2021 at Lancaster Church of the Nazarene.
Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Kyle Murphy, Jordan Murphy, Devin Murphy, Dalton Murphy, Caleb Graf, and Mickey Arnold.
