Kimberly Denise Penix, 41, of Garrard County, KY, went to her eternal rest at her home on March 22, 2025. She was born January 20, 1984 to Sharon Ison and the late Douglas (Ham) Penix.

She confessed her belief in Christ at an early age and was baptized at the First Baptist Church Lancaster.

Kim graduated from Garrard Co. High School.  After graduation she went to BCTC and graduated with honors and also on the Dean’s List.  She worked at UPS, several factories and loved her job of painting houses.  Her passion was making people happy, taking time for others and showing love in her special way.

She is preceded in death by grandfather, Cecil Davis; sister, April Michelle Davis; uncles, Ronald Mason Davis and Chris Davis; great grandmother Kathrine Burton; and step-father Curtis Ison.

Kim is survived by her mother, Sharon Ison; brother Chris Penix of Lancaster; grandparents, Pearl Davis of Port Chester, NY and Charles and Johnette Penix of Danville; uncle, Mitchell (Katie) Ray of Lancaster; special aunt, Caroline Davis of Port Chester, NY; two nieces, Aubree and Zoey Penix; two nephews, Mason Penix and Jorey Davis; great-aunt Mammie Williams of Port Chester, NY; a host of nieces, nephews and friends; and long time friend that she loved, Leslie Baker.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Spurlin Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 11:00 am until 1:00 PM.
