Kevin Thomas May

Kevin Thomas May, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023 at his home. He was born on December 19, 1964 in Madison County, KY to the late Tommy Douglas May and Mayme Powell Baker. 

He was a lover of horror movies, a pizza connoisseur, and a mediocre dancer. He spent his days listening to rock ‘n roll music, fishing, and watching reruns of Sanford & Son and the Andy Griffith Show. He was a koozie collector, a picky eater, and overall a great father and friend. 

Surviving is a daughter, Ciara May Ruggles (Sabe) of Cynthiana, KY; a sister, Julie May Ryan (Chris) of Danville, KY; a brother, Brian May of Lancaster; step-father, Ronnie Baker of Lancaster; a best friend, Matt "Cornbread" Carrier of Lancaster; nieces, Clarice Rosalind May of Nicholasville and Morgan Taylor Ryan of Louisville; and many cousins.

Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Spurlin Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Lancaster Cemetery.

Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are preferred to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, in honor of Kevin’s best friend, “Cornbread”.
