Kenneth Wayne Land, 81, of Lancaster, passed away November 8, 2021 at Baptist Hospital. He was born on February 24, 1940 to the late Robert and Gertrude Jones Land. He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Greene Land.
From being abandoned on the streets by his mom at three to being the patriarch of a huge loving family, he was a very hardworking, God-fearing man. He always wanted to be surrounded by all of his family and his animals. He was a faithful member of Scott’s Fork Christian Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Vontella Peak (Jeff), Debora Preston, Teressa Beauchamp (Jason) and Kendra Hall (Frankie), all of Lancaster; grandchildren, Stacey Preston, Michael Preston, Chassity Dodson, Holly Peak, Wesley Peak, Kayla Hockensmith, Hailey Hockensmith, Landan Hockensmith, Whitney Hall, Katlyn Beauchamp and Brooke Beauchamp; great grandchildren, Cameron Peak, McKayla Peak, Nathan Dodson, Matthew Dodson, Eli Dodson, Ethan Dodson, Emma Preston, Jake Caudill, Jaxon Peak, Amiyah Garcia and Ellee Mae Hall; and two sisters, Barbara Hutchman and Delores Currens, both of Winchester.
He is preceded in death by two brothers, Billy and Bobby Land and two sisters, Eunice Duffy and Evelyn Johnson.
Funeral services will be 2pm Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Odis Clark officiating. Burial in Manse Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12pm-2pm on Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Peak, Jason Beauchamp, Frankie Hall, Michael Preston, Anthony Dodson, Nathan Dodson and Cameron Peak.
