Kenneth Boyd

Kenneth Boyd, 85, of Lincoln County, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023 at his home. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patsy Boyd.

Kenneth was born on April 5, 1938 in Garrard County to the late William Bryant Boyd and Vernie Young Boyd.

He was a truck driver for over 26 years. Kenneth loved Nascar, truck pulling, drag racing, tractors, anything with an engine, he enjoyed.

Surviving are two sons, Carl Boyd of Moreland and Ronnie Boyd of Hazard; step-daughter, Tamara Howell (Russell) of Somerset; two step-sons, Billy Yeakey (Lynn) of Louisville and Deron Hume (Tammy) of Lancaster; two brothers, Raymond Boyd (Nancy) of Stanford and Ronald Boyd of Danville; two sisters, Virginia Brown of Stanford and Doris Day of Stanford; two daughter in laws, Wilma Boyd and Linda Boyd ; seven grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren.

Along with his wife and parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Wayne Boyd; a daughter, Donna Baker; a brother, Ralph Boyd; and three sisters, Opal Whitis, Frances Wine, and Christine.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Spurlin Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM until service time.

Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jason Boyd, Todd Boyd, Bradley Baker, Ricky Boyd, Brandon Pearson, Treavor Pearson, and Riley Boyd.
