Kathryn Shearer

Kathryn (Davis) Shearer, 91, of Shelbyville, Indiana died Monday, February 15, 2021 at the home of her daughter. A native of Garrard County, she was born October 10, 1929 to the late Joe Abb Davis and Louvenia Padgett Davis.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Melvin Shearer Jr; a daughter, Judy Darrell Shearer; a son, Jimmie Wayne Shearer; four sisters and five brothers.

Survivors include her daughter, Doris King of Shelbyville, Indiana; a daughter-in-law, Mary (Ray) Shearer of Lancaster; a sister, Margaret Scott of Lancaster; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at Spurlin Funeral Home in Lancaster, Kentucky on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 12:00pm.

Visitation will take place prior to the service from 10:00 am-12:00 pm.

Burial will be at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Elwood Scott, Gary Phillips, Terry Causey, Kevin Causey, Michael Hankins, and Tyler Moore.
