Karen Lou Clevenger Stine, 53, of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday June 1, 2021 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY. She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Charles Jeffrey Stine of Lancaster, KY.
Karen was born on September 25, 1967 in Cameron, Missouri to mother, Carolyn Lorene Hill (Robert) and father, Charles Orville Clevenger Jr.
Karen moved to Kentucky after graduating from Cameron High School in 1985 to attend Midway College in Midway, KY. After receiving her degree, she worked as a Lab Technician for over 12 years in the medical field. Then, after obtaining a bachelor degree in Computer Science from the University of Kentucky, Karen ultimately worked at Valvoline in Lexington for over 10 years.
Also surviving are sister, Lisa M. Wells (Rodney); brother, Robert L. Hill Jr. (Amelia); step-sister Shauna K. Clevenger and former step mother, Patricia Lee.
Karen had an enthusiasm for life that radiated to everyone she met. She was a champion for all animals and an expert horsewoman, even finding the strength to ride in the midst of chemo treatments and battling immense pain. Her strength and bravery was an inspiration to all.
A celebration of life for Karen will be first in Lathrop, MO on June 12, at the Lathrop Antique Show Grounds from 1-4PM. A celebration event will be held on June 27 in Lancaster, KY at Bradford BBQ.
