Karen Bastin Sowders passed October 15th at Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville KY. She was born in Fort Knox to Samuel Bastin and Pauline Hopkins on July 1st, 1961. Karen never met at stranger and loved to talk. She would help anybody in anyway she could. She loved her family dearly.
She is survived by her husband, Kim Sowders, a son, Christopher Sowders ( Kat Dinsmore). Brothers Sam Bastin (Shannon) of Danville and Ray Bastin of Sacramento CA. Three nieces, Molly and Leslie (Kim Penix) of Lancaster and Kristyn Bastin of Nashville TN. Nephew Daniel Bastin of Lexington and two great nephews Ethan Baker of Louisville and Maishaun Baker or Lancaster.
She is preceded in death by both parents and twin sister Sharon Baker.
Also a brother in law Daniel Baker.
