Karen Jo Kirby Obituary

Karen Jo Kirby, 68, of Lincoln County, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at her home. She was born on October 23,1956 to the late Grover Cleveland Jones and Katherine Louise Bertram McBrayer. Karen is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Ronnie Kirby.


Karen was a member of Beechfork Baptist Church 


Along with her husband, Karen was also survived by sons, Daniel Tripp Harris (Brandie) of Owensboro, Jackson Craig Harris of Lincoln County, Travis Cody Harris of Lincoln County and, Brian Keith Kirby (Julie) of Indiana; grandchildren, Abigail Kelly, Caleb Kirby, Dylan Kirby, Jackson Craig Harris, Jr., Kelsey Hopkins and, Kia Sallee; great grandchildren, Amelia Grace Kelly and Lincoln Hopkins; a sister Sally Hale (Jerry) of Danville; and numerous nieces and nephews. 


She was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Holland; brother, Ricky Jones; sister, Imogene Goodlett. 


Funeral service will be 11:00AM on Monday, May 5, 2025 at Spurlin Funeral Home with Brother Roger Followell officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00PM-6:00PM on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at the funeral home. 


Pallbearers will be Brian Kirby, Phillip Kirby, Caleb Kirby, Daniel Tripp Harris, Eswin Monroy and, Travis Cody.
