Joyce Yates

Joyce Yates, 77, of Lancaster, passed away October 27, 2020 at her home. She was born July 22, 1943 to the late Monday Night and Mary Johnson Woods. Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Larry Yates.

She loved her family dearly and was a faithful member of Forks of Dix River Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Tammy Yates and Lisa Yates, both of Lancaster; six grandchildren, Chad Sharp, Seth Banta, Lucian Musgrove, Sheena Privett, Kyle Musgrove and Holly Musgrove, three great grandchildren, Ty Sharp, whom she raised, Kinley Banta and Khloe Banta; a son, Anthony "Tony" Musgrove and his grandchildren; a brother, Joe Woods (Shirley) of Lancaster, a sister, Edith Henson of Lexington, a special niece, Hope Heimpold of Ohio and many nieces and nephews.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents and eleven siblings.

A funeral service will be held 2PM Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Forks of Dix River Baptist Church, 5764 Lexington Rd., Lancaster with Bro. Jerry Browning and Bro. Dwayne Dasher officiating. Visitation will be from 1-2 at the church.

Memorial contributions are preferred to Forks of Dix River Baptist Church.
