Joyce Kretzer

Joyce Britton Kretzer, 77, of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at her home. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth Ronald Kretzer. Joyce was born on July 16, 1941, in Chillicothe Ohio to the late Lester and Mary Clifton Britton.

She was a published author of three books, a paralegal, wife, mother, friend, and God loving woman.

Joyce was a member of Bryantsville United Methodist Church.

Surviving is four sons: Shane Kretzer(Rita) of Lancaster, Jason Kretzer(Laura) of Flat Gap, Kenneth “Buddy” Kretzer (Robin) of Ohio, and Jeff Kretzer (Belinda) of Tennessee; two daughters: Amber Baldridge(John) of Lancaster, and Barbara Vanhoose of Nicholasville; a honorary son: Jeff Ramey; a honorary daughter: Jamie Coleman; two brothers: Jack Britton, and Ron Britton(Jeannie) of Ohio; honorary sister: Barbara Rose; sister in law: Nancy Britton; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by four daughters: Constance Newton, Sharon Kirby, Natalie Harness, and Erin Kretzer; two brothers: David Britton and James Britton; son in law: Elmer Baldridge; daughter in law: Cathy Kretzer and sister in law: Carolyn Britton.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday May 8, 2019 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Faron Owen officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Tuesday.

Honorary pallbearers will be the grandchildren: Erin Baldridge, R.J. Baldridge, Amelia Kretzer, Susannah Kretzer, Tabitha Kretzer, Britney Newton, Kenneth Kretzer, Shandra Newton, Limikia Robinson, Whitney Holmes, Heath Newton, Ronald Blume, Josh Kirby, Krista Blume, Justin Kretzer, Rustin Harness, Eula Bias, and Hollee Coleman.
