John "Darryl" Stratton, 58, of Garrard County, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022 at his home. He was born on March 30, 1964 in Franklin County, KY to the late John and Janie Crawford Stratton. 

Darryl was a dump truck driver for Bluegrass Trucking, Inc in Harrodsburg, KY and was an avid horse lover. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving is his loving wife, Judy Meece Stratton of Lancaster; four daughters, Amanda Spigle(Gary) of Stanford, Angie Milburn (Moby) of Mt. Hebron, Johnetta Comello(Jim) of Lexington, and Haley Stratton of Cynthiana; a sister, Sharon Weber (Bobby) of Lexington; nine grandchildren, Damon Spigle, Jocelyn Spigle, Briley Milburn, Jace Milburn, Kendall Comello, Camden Comello, Harley Choate, Kaine Choate, and Eliza Choate.

Darryl was also preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Bowers.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Rodney Montgomery officiating.

Visitation will be 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Meece Family Cemetery in Buena Vista, KY.

Active pallbearers are Moby Milburn, Jim Comello, Gary Spigle, Damon Spigle, Briley Milburn, Roy Davis Jr. and Nate Barnes.

Honorary pallbearers are Shane Meece, Ronnie Wash, Ray Miller, Bobby Weber, and Benny Stanley.
