John Bourne, 81, of Lancaster passed peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. John was born June 18, 1942 in Danville, Kentucky to Eugene P. and Lilly Dennis Bourne. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mildred Greer Bourne of Lancaster, KY.
John was a Bottling Supervisor for many distilleries until retiring from Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, Kentucky.
John is also survived by son, Donald Andrew Bourne of Lancaster, Kentucky; brothers, Don Bourne (Arletta) of Denver, Colorado and Elisha Bourne (Sherry) of Danville, Kentucky; grandchildren Amanda Graves, Christopher Henry Graves; and a son in law, Harry Graves of Athens, Kentucky
John was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Audrey Lynn Bourne Graves.
Visitation will be 11:30-12:30 PM Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Spurlin Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 12:30 PM Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Grizzell officiating. Burial at Lancaster Cemetery will follow the service.
Pallbearers are Andrew Bourne, Don Bourne, Elisha Bourne, John Russell Bourne, Keith Bourne ,and Jennings Vanover.
Honorary Pallbearers are Bertlee Watkins, Jr., Patton Vanover, Roger Walton .
