Joan Parmley LeMay, 73, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Baptist Health Lexington, KY. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dudley. Joan was born on January 16, 1948 in Robinson, Illinois to the late Carl and Myrtle Morrow Parmley.
Joan was a homemaker, a wonderful cook, seamstress, she enjoyed gardening. Joan loved her family dearly.
She was a member of Lamberts Chapel United Methodist in Garrard County.
Joan is survived by two sons, Timothy LeMay (Leigh Ann) of Georgetown and Edwin LeMay of Lancaster; a sister, Hazel Parmley Kunaschk(John) of Lancaster and a brother, Norman Ray Parmley(Charlotte) of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Tabatha and Zachary LeMay and Tristia Middleton; a great-grandchild, Braden Parson; and several nieces and nephews.
Joan is also preceded in death by a baby daughter, Yvonne LeMay and a brother Carl Thomas Parmley.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Browning officiating. ​Burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Edward Johnson, Gary Bourne, Robbie Middleton, Mike Fields, John Kunaschk, and Jeff Parmley.
Honorary pallbearer will be Thelby Winchester.
