Jesse Cloyd, Sr. 48, of Lexington KY, loving father and son passed away Monday September 11, 2023 at Baptist Health Lexington. Jesse, the oldest of five children, was born on January 15, 1975 in Tucson, Arizona.

Jesse is survived by his son Jesse Cloyd, Jr and daughter Arizona Cloyd; his mother and stepfather Sally and Stephen Collins; father Dean Cloyd; brothers Anthony Cloyd, Tyler Collins; sisters Angelina (Jason) Seivers, Susie (Jathan) Toler; grandparents Don and Dorothy Cloyd.
Jesse attended Bryan Station High School where he displayed his athletic abilities running track and on the football field as a Defender. His enthusiasm for sports was ignited at a young age when he fell in love with ‘The Sweet Science’ otherwise known as Boxing. He spent his youth sparring neighborhood friends and encouraging them to take an interest in one of his lifelong passions. He was a fierce competitor, as you would know if you ever played volleyball or dominoes with him.
After graduating in ’93, Jesse became more in tune with his artistic side. When he wasn’t writing and recording original music, he was sketching beautiful portraits of family and friends.
Jesse was always the life of any gathering he attended, whether it was “holding court” at a cookout or making others smile with his unique additions to the Happy Birthday song (Happy Birthday to You), (Youuuu). No matter what was going on he always had a bright smile and a kind heart and will be forever missed.
