Janice Yocum, 74, of Lancaster, KY passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Ephriam McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. She was born in Plainfield, Indiana on March 31, 1950, to the late Balis and Lorene Stewart McKinney. Janice is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Billy Joe Yocum.

Janice was a seamstress and avid animal lover. She loved her family with all her heart. 

She was a member of White Lick Baptist Church.

Janice is also survived by two daughters: Scarlet Murphy (Steven) of Lancaster, and Christy Brutcher (Brad) of Louisville; one stepdaughter, Billie Dawn Harrison of Lancaster; a step sister Stacy York Isaacs; four precious grandsons whom she thought hung the moon; Tyler Murphy (Shelley), Seth Murphy (Paige), Peyton Smith, and Tanner Smith; and one great-grandchild, Eli Murphy; her beloved little dogs, Lil Bit and Jack.

Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Spurlin Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1:00 PM until the time of service on Saturday.
