James "Jim" Edward Bordes, 80, of Paint Lick. passed away Tuesday May 5, 2020 at his home. Surviving is his loving wife of 30 years, Mildred. Jim was born on September 9, 1939 in Lansing, Michigan to the late Victor and Edith Gutski Bordes. He was a master carpenter for over 35 years.
 
Also surviving are three sons, James Bordes(Vicki) of Tennessee, Kenneth Bordes of Tennessee, and John Bordes of Kentucky, a step-son Charles Wayne Rutledge(Shearon) of Kentucky; one daughter, Jamie Bordes Westerfield of Paint Lick, KY; two sisters, Elaine Orvis of Michigan and Yvonne also of Michigan; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
 
He was also preceded in death by a step-daughter, Penny Davidson and three brothers, Dennis Bergin, Ronald Bergin, and Larry Bordes.
 
A private funeral will be held Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bill Morrow officiating. 
 
A public “DRIVE-THROUGH ONLY” visitation will be held from 1:00 PM -3:00 PM on Thursday May 7, 2020 at Spurlin Funeral Home.
