Jackie Lee Absher, 71, of Lancaster, passed away August 15, 2020 at the VA Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born to the late Chester and Iva Jeanette Cheatham Absher on December 1, 1948. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kay Smith Absher.
Jackie was a veteran of the US Navy and the US Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He retired from Allison Abrasives.
Along with his wife, Kay, Jackie is survived by a son, Davey Russell (Sharon) of Mt. Vernon; a daughter, Heather Absher (Shad) of Lancaster; grandchildren, Coty Russell (Shayna) of Three Links, Caitlyn Russell (Austin) of Richmond, Ethan Russell of Mt. Vernon and Bryce Bullock of Lancaster; one great grandchild, Oaklyn Russell of Three Links; one sister, Brenda Elbrecht (Vern) of Lebanon, Ohio; three nephews, Bill (Melissa), Jack and Jonathan and two great-nephews, Braden and Will.
Graveside services will be 11AM Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with Bro. David Gambrel officiating.
