Hershel Isaacs, 75, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019 at his home. He is survived by his loving wife, Iva. He was born on January 13, 1944 in Jackson County, KY to the late William and Linda Creech Isaacs.
Hershel was a lifelong farmer and a member of White Lick Baptist Church. He loved to fish and hunt, but most of all, he loved to spend time with his family.
Also surviving are two sons, Hershel Jerome Isaacs(Mary) of Paint Lick, and Jefferey Scott Isaacs(Ann) of Paint Lick; a daughter, Jennifer DeBord(Preston) of Stanford; a brother, Burt Isaacs of Richmond; a sister, Janet Powell(Dennis) of Indiana; seven grandchildren, Curtis Isaacs, Amanda Maynard, Amy Boyd, Jameson DeBord, Madison DeBord, Alexis Satterly, and Dylan Isaacs and eight great-grandchildren, Landyn Maynard, Leyton Maynard, Levi Isaacs, Case Boyd, Jax Boyd, Leah Isaacs, Sawyer DeBord, and Samuel Isaacs.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Homer Isaacs, Turner Isaacs, John Isaacs and Boyd Isaacs and three sisters, Christine Abner, Lorrene Isaacs and Shelby Jean Thomas Combs.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday October 16, 2019 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Lancaster with Bro. Greg King and Bro. David Salmons officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 am until service time.
Burial will be in Manse Cemetery in Paint Lick, KY.
Active pallbearers are Curt Isaacs, Jameson DeBord, Dylan Isaacs, Dalton Boyd, Tyler Satterly, and Preston DeBord.
Honorary pallbearers are John Arnold, Ed Gross, Larry Causey, Roger Roberts, Gary Shell and Chad Broughton.
