Hazel Marie Conner, 77, of Lancaster, passed away at her home on December 2, 2024. She was born on February 14, 1947 in Lancaster, Kentucky to the late Homer and Minnie Phillips Grimes. Hazel is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, George W. Conner. 

Hazel worked for Mini Market and Ron’s Tobacco Store for many many years. She was a faithful member of Lancaster Nazarene Church. Hazel loved her family dearly and adored her only granddaughter and great grandchildren. 
   
Surviving are two daughters, Jennifer Turner (Marvin) and Lori Conner, both of Lancaster;   Siblings, Alene East, Buddy Grimes, Shirley Grimes, Lillian Padgett, and Bruce Grimes, all of Lancaster; granddaughter, Ashley Young (Brad) of Lancaster and great grandchildren, Connor, Gunner, Addaley, and Anniston Young.  

Hazel is preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lee Grimes and a niece, Stephanie Grimes. 

Funeral services will be 1pm Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dwayne Lobb and Bro. Daryl Hodge officiating. Burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Friday, December 6, 2024 at the funeral home. 

Pallbearers will be Louie Ray, Jackie Hume, Brad Young, Gunner Young, Connor Carrier and Jerry Long. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike and Beverly Elleman, Ronnie and Mildred Broadus, Johnny Grubbs, Melissa Grant Houp, and Addaley and Anniston Young. 

Memorial contributions are preferred to Lancaster Nazarene Church or Heritage Hospice.
